MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Police constable Jamie Robinson, 28, died in a motor vehicle crash in Clarendon yesterday.
Police reports are that about 6:30pm, Robinson was driving his Nissan Skyline motorcar along the Bustamante Highway in Clarendon, when one of the rear wheels of the car hit the front wheel of a truck he was overtaking.
Police said he then lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a parked truck.
Robinson, who was reportedly assigned to the St Catherine North Police Division, was pronounced dead at the May Pen Hospital.
The deceased policeman is said to be an only child and resided in Hatfield, Manchester.
